Hospital visiting policies

Most hospitals are not allowing visitors to see patients. I was asked if hospitals are allowing visitors to see pediatric patients. I made some calls. These are not official statements and are subject to change.

Menendez, Booker: What's in the $2T COVID-19 Emergency Stimulus for NJ

NEWARK, N.J. – U.S. Senators Bob Menendez, a senior member of the Senate Finance Committee and one of the bipartisan bill negotiators, and Cory Booker, who was also involved in negotiations on the deal, detailed today how New Jersey will initially benefit from the $2 trillion stimulus package Congress passed to respond to the COVID-19 pandemic. Both senators voted in favor of the bipartisan deal and are committed to passing additional funding bills to address the ongoing health and economic crises.

“This package delivers an immediate shot in the arm for New Jersey’s hospitals and frontline healthcare workers, support for everyday New Jerseyans and small businesses to help weather the storm, and billions in aid to help our state and local communities deliver essential services and respond to the COVID-19 outbreak,” said Sen. Menendez. “To successfully combat the coronavirus, we need a seamless and coordinated federal, state and local response. I will continue to fight in Washington for the federal resources and guidance we need in New Jersey, and I am prepared to go back to Congress to deliver additional funding so long as the need persists.”

“This public health and economic crisis demands a massive and immediate federal response,” said Sen. Booker. “Though the challenges we face are far from over, the relief package Senator Menendez and I fought for will go a long way toward protecting our health and safety while helping families and small businesses in New Jersey and across our country stay afloat. But our work isn’t done yet. It’s critical that we continue bipartisan efforts to provide New Jersey hospitals, medical professionals, families and businesses the support they desperately need.”

Below is a breakdown of the funding. Please note that these numbers are best estimates by Menendez and Booker staff based on projections and existing funding formulas, but are not final pending official allocation. State and local governments and individuals may still be eligible for additional assistance through various federal programs.

Age Distribution in Franklin vs. United States

How does Franklins age distribution compare to the USA (19 States) on 3/27/2020. For USA data I’m referencing USA Today. Franklin data is below. I can’t find the ages for 3 people. I’ve asked the county for the information from. What does the data say to me? I would need to do polling to know but I think the numbers being higher for mild age than for elderly is because the elderly are staying home.

Franklin ages 9 19	20	23	28	29	30	31	35	36	36	37
               37 38	40	43	43	45	45	45	45	45	46	47
               48 48	54	54	55	55	56	61	64	65	66	67

Comparing Somerset County to the State

I thought you might want to know how Somerset County compares to the rest of the state. There are two graphs. They show, over time, the number of positive test or the number of deaths for each county. The green arrow points to Somerset County. For a list of counties see Wikipedia.
