COVID Deaths
I discovered why we were getting no deaths in Franklin and it was a reason that never occurred to me. The county wasn't reporting them to us. One reader sent me a message last week questioning the zero death number because she knew of a death. I sent an email to the Somerset County Heath Officer to ask why but it was during the holiday so just got a reply today. Apparently the county emails each town the number of cases each day but they don't report deaths to most. Months ago we had requested that we get both cases and deaths. Apparently that request got lost with a personnel change.
Today I asked for all deaths from Nov 11 until today. This is what I got back. For obvious reasons I'm suspicious this is not the complete list. I'll be asking more questions tomorrow. The following are the ages of the people who died and the date it was recorded.
